CAN YOU FEEL IT!
It is with great excitement Heat Wave returns to the field for the 2021 season. While DCI plans are in development, we expect to begin our summer season approximately July 8 which will then culminate at the DCI World Event at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis the weekend of Aug 12,13, and 14th. We are very encouraged by the strong return of staff and members from 2020. 2020 Members are now receiving confirmation letters for their participation in the coming season.
NEW STUDENTS ARE WELCOME
The organization is especially heartened by the strong showing of new faces for 2021. Virtual camps have begun and we are on track to hold a one-day/social distanced event outdoors the last weekend of April. Watch for more information to come. Yet before then, the next virtual events are for Brass - February 28th, and Percussion - March 14th. At this time, Guard will still use video lessons to begin training.
APRIL EVENT
Once the Indoor season is complete, the April event will be held outdoors. Masks will be required and social distancing protocols in place. We have been carefully working with Drum Corps International and studying the strong efforts by many of the successful efforts put forth by collegiate and high school programs.
New students are encouraged to sign-up as an applicant to receive their FREE audition packet. Video auditions for new members are only $ 20 – the least in DCI… Spots are available in all sections, and there will be a reduced fee for the season. As of now, we plan to hold additional virtual rehearsals and one-day events before move-ins. While so many are ready to “just make it happen”, we have a wonderful team in place to mitigate the risk.
If available, COVID-19 vaccinations will be required for all participants, staff, and volunteers. DCI and
